Sweet Conversion

13 Dec

Sweet!  I finally got converted!  No no not that way!  I finally got my LinkedIn conversion to Gen3!  Sweet.  Take a peek: www.linkedin.com/in/rickkinnard

If you haven’t gotten the heads-up on this yet, be prepared for some homework once it happens.

You know all that time you dedicated to 3rd Party Applications to enhance your profile?  The big news: GONE!  Yeah, when you get “the conversion”, they are gone.  It’s a bit of a shock.  They don’t appear on your profile anymore and when you click to “Edit Your Profile” they are no longer there.

No worries though, the “New Rich Media Feature” is GREAT!!  They have built a very smooth integration of rich media.  It’s all as simple as adding a link!

You have DOZENS of choices of 3rd Party providers including all your favs. See Below.

You may have to wait a while for this to affect you:
LinkedIn: “We’re gradually releasing a new feature that lets members add rich media links to the Summary, Experience, and Education sections of their profiles. You can see this feature on some profiles, but might not be able to use it on your own profile yet. Don’t worry – you’ll soon be able to use it.”  http://help.linkedin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34915
